The text formatting of the new message determines how attachments are viewed in the new message.
Attachment appears in the Attach line of the message:
This indicates that the format of the message is HTML or Plain Text. This format creates the most basic e-mails; you will not have full control over the format of the e-mail (different fonts and font color).
Attachment appears in Body of the message:
This indicates that the format of the message is Rich Text. This format allows a more customizable e-mail, allowing for different fonts and font colors to be displayed.
Changing the format of the e-mail:
1. Begin composing a new e-mail
2. Click Format
3. Select either:
Plain Text
HTML
Rich Text
Note: You will receive a pop-up from Microsoft Outlook regarding the implications of changing the format. To minimize formatting discrepancies, change the format of the e-mail before you begin writing it.
