Follow the steps in the table below to encrypt a thumb/flash drive using TrueCrypt:

Launch TrueCrypt from the Applications menu.

The "TrueCrypt" application will be displayed.

Click the Create Volume button.
|

The "TrueCrypt Volume Creation Wizard" will be displayed.

Select the Encrypt a non-system partition/drive radial and click Next >.

Select the Standard TrueCrypt volume radial and click Next >.

Browse to the drive you wish to encrypt and click Next >.

Select the Create encrypted volume and format it radial and click Next >.
|

For Encryption Algorithm select AES.

For Hash Algorithm select SHA-512.

Click Next >.

Enter and confirm a system password and click Next >.

Move the mouse randomly over the window to generate random encryption data. Click Next >.
Note: User of Windows Vista may be prompted to authenticate via UAC.
